Full Moon in Capricorn - A Time to Come into Our Truth

"This Full Moon is here to show you what you've outgrown. The roles you've been performing. The expectations you've been carrying. The version of yourself you've kept alive because it once made other people comfortable. This isn't about changing who you are. It's about no longer pretending to be someone you're not. Capricorn is the sign of integrity. And integrity asks only one question: What is no longer true?" ~ Wild Woman Sisterhood

Satya, is one of the 5 yamas (universal commitments). It translates to truthfulness or to integrity. This can be quite daring to live in one's truth, where the package of inauthenticity is wrapped up and sold to us in a perfect fashion whereas authenticity is shunned away for being messy and hard to swallow.

Living our truth begins with getting real with ourselves. Addressing our patterns and tendencies. Catching ourselves when we mess up and taking ownership. We tend to, as humans, take the path of least resistance. This can turn into a dangerous slippery slope as we step away from the helm and let the boat simply drift. Maybe it goes towards the course we intended. Or maybe it starts veering towards a boulder.

Would you rather put forth the effort and steer away from the boulder? Or deal with the wreckage?

In order to live our truth, we must first identify our truth. Who we are, what our purpose is, and what we stand for. Daily journaling can help uncover this (you can buy my daily journal, Bloom Within, here to help aide you in your daily journaling habit.) Once we know, or even partially know, what our purpose is, then we get to move ourself in a way that aligns with this. One of the most powerful practices I have embodied is this:

When you wake up, before you speak to anyone, turn on the TV, or look at your phone, take a moment to yourself and envision the life that you wish to have. Make it crystal clear in your mind as if you are already living it. Then ask yourself, how would that version of yourself move through the day? Maybe it's a subtle energy shift, maybe it's how you speak, maybe it's choosing something over another, etc. Take a inhale into this vision, saying in your mind "This is the life I will live.". Exhale it out, saying in your mind, "And this is how I move today." Then proceed to move through your day as if you are already living the life you desire.

When we unify our actions with our thoughts and desires that stem from a place of alignment with our Highest Self, this is where we see our lives turn to a flow state. Every roadblock becomes a redirection. Every stumbling block becomes a lesson. Every critique provides wisdom. Decisions get easier. Choices are made faster. Things start unfolding. It's alchemical the way our minds, bodies, and spirits turn our energy into the very life we desire.

But the Universe will not provide something that is not meant for us. That is where satya comes back to play. We have to be honest with ourselves. We have to believe in ourselves. We can't half-ass our way through this life and expect something extraordinary. We have to dive deep into our radical truth and be comfortable being uncomfortable when expressing our truth. As inauthenticity is shoved down our throats through advertisements, generative AI, social media filters, and fake everything else, it's a radical action to live authentically.

Show up when you say you will show up. Speak only words that are true. Align your actions with your words. Shut down stories that create a false narrative.

This Capricorn Full Moon asks us to show up with integrity. How can you do this today?

Uncovering who we are and identifying goals that are in alignment with who we are is significant work. If you would like support, consider booking a Spiritual Life Coach Session with me. You can find more information about this offering here.
